The Holiday Season has Truly Arrived!

Finals are done!! It is an amazing feeling to be able to write this from the comfort of my own bedroom, knowing that I did pretty well in all of my classes and not having any schoolwork to do until January! About a week ago, I was not in such a relaxed state. I really did not know what to expect from a college final, so I was studying more than I ever have in my life. Between Art History flash cards and memorizing Spanish verb tenses, I was going insane. All the studying paid off though, and now I get to have a nice, calm, relaxing holiday break.

It is amazing how fast the first semester went. It feels like just yesterday that I was moving into my dorm room.pic2.JPG The way the schedule is, I never went more than a month and half or so of constant school. It feels like I was just getting into my classes and then they were over. Next semester will bring a whole new set of classes which I am very excited about! Debate will continue to be a huge part of my life which I am thrilled about! In the New Year, I hope to get to the library more on campus. I suppose this is where I confess I have not actually gone in the library, although I utilize their online reference collection all the time.
When I left Nashville it was about 70 degrees. I have never experienced such heat in December. My birthday is the 15th, and I can remember numerous birthday parties which took place during massive snow storms. But not in Nashville!! It was pretty awesome to be able to walk around in short sleeves and a skirt in the middle of December. It didn’t seem like Christmas time at all, but it was nice nonetheless.
So, to all reading this I hope you have a wonderful holiday and enjoy your time off from school!
