Working hard!
So much to do, so little time. Between all the papers, projects, tests, and speeches I have had in the past week, it finally feels like college. Thankfully, I have been able to avoid the dreaded all-nighter thus far. After this week though, things should go back to a normal coursework until finals time.
I can’t believe I can even start thinking about finals now, this semester has flown by. About 2 weeks until Thanksgiving, about 2 more weeks of classes, and then Christmas break! This will be the first Christmas break that I don’t have any huge assignments over, and the break will be well enjoyed!
But while the holiday season coming means less work for me, it may mean some more long nights for all the prospective students out there. Believe me, I know. College applications pretty much ruled my Holiday Break last year. Scrambling to get the final touches on that essay, and filling out all of those forms. Don’t let that happen to you. Keep on working on the applications, and feel free to contact the admissions office here with any questions about anything.
Well, life at Belmont here is getting more busy everyday. Tomorrow I leave with the Debate team for a competition in Kentucky and next weekend we are hosting a competition here on campus! As much work as it is to prepare for the debate competitions, it is all worth it when you are competing. Tonight for example, I have to memorize a ten minute speech, which will probably take a few hours. It gets to be a lot sometimes, balancing extra curricular activities with the homework and projects from class. It all works out in the end, and the hard work becomes worth it when you get a good grade on a paper or ace a test. Just make sure you balance out working with some relaxing and hanging out with friends, or else you will miss out on all of the fun stuff going on on campus!
