Mmmmmm Mmmmmm Good
As I was pondering what to write about this week, it dawned on me that an element very necessary to any human being,s existence is none other than FOOD. I know when I was trapped in the college search process, it was something that I looked over even though it should've been important in choosing a school. Luckily for me, Belmont's food service has been surprisingly good and the only problem I run into with it is that I eat too much rather than there not being enough to eat.
There are four choices when deciding where or what type of food you want at Belmont. The best part about them is that they all use your student ID card as payment, so no cash required. The "Caf" or cafeteria is probably the most well rounded meal choice, always serving an entree with probably a few veggies, a vegeterian choice, a special chef prepared treat, a salad bar, dessert bar, cereal bar, ice cream bar, pizza bar, and hamburger/chicken sandwich/grilled cheese bar. Enough bars? I'd like to think so. My favorite meal thus far at Belmont is probably the Belgian Waffles at breakfast... where you can use all the whipped cream, syrup, and fruit that your heart desires. Wow, I'm getting hungry just writing this!
Our second option, "What's Bruin" is a little store that has great "food to go" options and healthy snacks. It is located inside the Beaman Life Center and is great for smoothies or a muffin to go in the morning... very handy.
Our third option is "The Corner Court"... our local home of Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and a wanna-be Subway. This is a great little "jiffy" type store located in Massey. There is always a hot soup on hand, made to order subs, or you can grab anything else that looks good... maybe cereal for your room? I'm a big fan.
And lastly, The Curb Cafe which offers a variety as well but more in a local restaurant type atmosphere. Personally, I'm partial to the chicken fingers and fries, but thats just me.
Again, please. Food is important! Don't underestimate the power of food! I can assure you that you can always find something to chow down on at Belmont, and if you don't believe me, see for yourself! To learn more about the caf, click here. Until next time!
