The semester is practically over! I am very grateful to not be bogged down under a mountain of work; I really only have finals to worry about at this point. I literally just got back from Thanksgiving four days ago, and I only have three more days of classes until finals start. Then it’s back to New York for me. But first, finals. I don’t know whether to be worried about them or not. I only have four to begin with, and only one of them covers material from the whole semester. So I can enjoy the holiday season in Nashville!
My roommate Kate and I made chocolate covered pretzels and puppy chow using our handy dandy microwave today. It took forever and was kind of messy, but produced lots of inexpensive holiday presents. I might even have enough to bring home to my boyfriend and family, saving me even more money. Being in college, naturally I am in a constant state of worrying about how much money I have. One thing is for sure though, I have enough Bruin Bucks. With meal plans for freshmen here, you get the option of having less meals per week and then getting bruin bucks, which you can use at the other places to eat on campus or at the cafeteria. My personal favorite is the Curb Café, which has really good burgers. My friends and I have been frequent customers more now that we know we have only a week or so to use up the rest of our money!
‘Christmas at Belmont’ is on Saturday, and I am going to try to go. I am honestly not sure what it is exactly (for some reason the station that was supposed to broadcast it last year in New York decided not to), but it looks like fun. The same day I have my holiday party for Debate, which should be fun because I haven’t seen those people in a while and I miss them.
It is crazy how fast this semester has flown by. And this night. I guess I should go work on that Spanish homework now. Happy Holidays!
