New Home Town.

I cannot believe that my first semester as a sophomore at Belmont University is already half over! I am settled in, have quite a few amazing friends, and am handling the stress of homework and exams in an effective manner. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for the ability to be a part of such a wonderful community. Personally, I am finally proud to state that Nashville, Tennessee is my new home town.

For the past few days, I have been anticipating the arrivial of my parents! This weekend (Oct. 20th-22nd) my parents are embarking on a strenuous 14-hour journey from Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Music City, USA. Without a doubt, I am extremely excited due to the fact that I haven't seen my mom and dad since "move-in" day on August 19. In terms of this weekend, my parents and I plan to attend the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday evening, and nonetheless, will find some time to eat at Cracker Barrel (my favorite restaurant!!).

In relation to campus life, these past few days have definitely felt like Fall weather. Many students on campus have been dressed in fall attire, waiting in anticipation for the leaves to change colors. With the changing of the scenery and the brisk fall weather Belmont University's "What's Bruin?", (located inside the Beaman Student Life Center), has become part of my morning ritual. This kiosk offers breakfast food, "on-the-go" snacks, and additional college "necessities" such as hot chocolate, granola bars, and soft drinks.

In addition, Belmont University also has a fabulous dining hall (also referred to as "The Caf.") Click here to take a gander at the different variety of food which is offered in the "caf."

Right now, I am going to get ready for bed because I have a strenuous day of classes ahead of me! And without a doubt, I am ready to tackle another day of college life in my new home town.
