Settling in...
Wow! These past few days have been fun, crazy, and slightly stressful! I turned the Big 2-0 on Sunday, September 17th! Celebrating my 20th birthday with my roommate, his family, and a few friends was definitely a memorable day! However, the fun and excitement from the weekend did not cease. It continued on throughout the week. On Tues., September 19th, my roommate, Luke, and I attended the 2nd Annual Second Harvest Benefit Concert which supported the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
The Second Harvest Benefit Concert was held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The concert featured renowned songwriter, Craig Wiseman, with the accompaniment of LeAnn Rimes, Ronnie Dunn, Keith Urban, Randy Owen and Jon Bon Jovi. The show was definitely an amazing experience for my roommate due to the fact that it was his first "real" concert experience! Overall, the evening was simply amazing! Personally, I am grateful that these talented artists and songwriters take time out of their hectic lives to participate in a spectacular event such as this.

In terms of school - everything's been going swell. This past week has been slightly stressful due to the fact that I've had two major tests within the last two days. Today, I was quite rushed because I have four classes on Monday's and Wednesday's. In the morning, I headed to the Beaman Student Life Center to work out. The Beaman Student Life Center includes a fitness center, raquetball courts, an awesome climbing wall, and a spacious gym! I mainly enjoy the fitness center because of its cleanliness and comfortable atmosphere. There is almost every type of strength training machine in the fitness center, but moreover, the kind individuals who work there are always willing to offer advice or assist you in anyway possible. Overall, the Beaman Student Life Center is on Belmont's campus for students to actively remain healthy both physically and mentally!
This upcoming weekend, I will be participating in the 5th annual "Together We Can 5K and Children's Running Festival." I'm really excited to hear that all the proceeds from the race will benefit "Feed America First," a non-profit organization which distributes food to those who are less fortunate. I believe that this is a wonderful cause because it not only is hosted at Belmont University, but more importantly, contributes to those who are in need!
Well - I think I'm going to get going because I have class in the morning! Getting eight hours of sleep definitely sounds a like a grand idea. I'll keep you all in touch with what is going on around campus, as well as the cool events taking place around town!!! :-)
