Staff Affairs Meeting- you missed it!!!

About 90 staff came to today's meeting and I think we all had fun. We had special effects and even lost the lights for a few seconds. Several great agenda items were shared too! Obviously, the prizes were fun with a gift card from Borders (thanks Amanda) and even dance lessons. Thanks to everyone who made time. and it is my wish that our next event, SEE BIG CHILI CONTEST , will even be bigger in October. So, mark your calendar now and get out those family chili recipies to win and have fun.

Belmont faculty and staff volunteers sought for Katrina housing relief

katrina_sm.gifIn an effort to assist with the hurricane relief efforts Belmont is requesting volunteers to provide housing assistance (i.e. a spare bedroom) for parents of Belmont students who are displaced or affected by the hurricane Katrina disaster in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. In the next few weeks there is an opportunity for the Belmont family to extent their hospitality to the parents of our students affected by this disaster. If you have a spare bedroom or place to accommodate a parent or family please indicate how many family members you can accommodate, for how long and your contact information. The initial need is to support requests from families from the disaster area in support of Parent's weekend (Sept 16-17th). You may email or call me at x5471 by Friday, Sept 9th.

Thank you so much for considering this urgent call to help our students and their families.

Chair, Staff Affairs Council
