EmilyThrough this trip I hope to gain wisdom about the Brazilian culture through missionary work. I hope to be able to make as much of an impact on the people that I meet as I am sure they will on me.

I hope to be able to share my experience and where I find religion and God in my daily life. I pray that God will give us direction in how our experience can be the most effective and fulfilling and that we can be open and willing to new and different experiences. I hope that along with the missionary work we do, we can also learn how they compete through volleyball. I pray that my eyes may be opened to anything that God should reveal to me through this amazing experience.

hi!!! so the first day you were gone i tried calling you, im pretty sure this is the longest ive ever gone without hearing from you! but i saw anita today and she said you are doing well!! i miss you! this is such an amazing opportunity and i am so happy you are able to experience it. there is nothing quite as rewarding and a mission trip! i cannot wait to hear all about it.
