AlcoholEdu for New Students

logo.jpgAs an incoming student, one of your requirements is participation in the AlcoholEdu course – a confidential, on-line, personalized learning experience that educates you on the impact of alcohol on the mind and body.

On July 23rd, you will be sent an email to your campus email account with instructions on how to log in to the course. If you do not receive this specific email, please contact Maria Allen at allenm@mail.belmont.edu.

During Orientation, you learned that Part 1 of the course takes approximately 3 hours to complete, and we recommend that you take it in multiple sittings. This part ends after the Exam. Remember you must earn a grade of 75 or higher to pass and receive credit for the course, so pay attention! The deadline for finishing Part 1 is August 22nd, 2008.

Here are some tips for taking the course:
1. Take notes!
2. The program can register inactivity, so do not walk away from your computer and leave the program running.
3. Do not access the course while BIC is running. You should close BIC and open a new window.
4. AlcoholEDU works best on an IBM computer and through the Internet Explorer browser, please make the appropriate accommodations to use the prefer computer and browser.
5. Do not wait until the last minute… no extensions will be given.

Should you experience any difficulties or require support, the AlcoholEdu Online Technical Support Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply click on the “Technical Help” button located in the upper right-hand corner of every AlcoholEdu for College screen. You do not need to be logged into the course to access the Technical Support Center.

Thank you and enjoy the course,
Maria Allen
