A Note for New Parents...
Dear New Parents,
We are taking a deep breath after Summer Orientation and celebrating a great summer so far. We at Towering Traditions New Student Orientation want to thank you for joining us for a few short days this June to catch the Belmont spirit and get ready for August 23 (51 days away!).
The next few newsletters will begin highlighting your upcoming parent Welcome Week experience with events like President's & Trustees' Welcome & Dinner and Matriculation Ceremony. Welcome Week will help your student connect to other new students as well as to Belmont's traditions, culture, and community. For more information about Welcome Week, go to www.belmont.edu/tt.

Join Belmont Parent Association
We are excited to introduce the Belmont University Parents Association. The Parents Association will serve you and your family through special programs, enhanced communication, and increased opportunities to be a part of the life of Belmont. In the upcoming years, we will add local chapters of the Association for parents to join with new and current families in your community connecting the Belmont family nation-wide.
The cost of membership is $150 which includes continued enrichment of the Belmont Parents Online Community, 2 tickets for all events during Parent & Family Weekend, Belmont Parent & Family calendar, and invitations to Belmont Parent Association events. Further, half of your dues serves as a tax-deductable donation to the Belmont University Annual Fund supporting need based scholarships.
If you have not registered with the Belmont Parent Online Community, you can do it today at http://parents.belmont.edu free of charge. We are excited about the growth of Belmont University and your involvement in our community. We look forward to your continued involvement in Belmont!

This ceremony is an annual gathering of staff, faculty, students,and families to celebrate the heritage of Belmont University and our commitment to community, faith, and learning.
Student only programming begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 24.
Welcome Week "To Do" List
1. Your student must submit all transcripts, AP scores, or other needed academic records. For more information on the web visit the Office of the Registrar.
2. Submit Student Health Form. All completed health forms are due prior to August 27, 2008. Your student can download the Immunization Requirements here. For more information visit the Health Services Website.
