Rose Park Partnership

The Metro Parks and Recreation Board, the Edgehill community and Belmont University are working together on plans to redevelop E.S. Rose Park on Edgehill Avenue. Belmont intends to fund the redesign and reconstruction of the athletic facilities at the park so that its baseball, softball, soccer, and track teams might compete at a venue closer to the main campus. If this is done, the community and Belmont will share the use of playing fields for baseball, softball, soccer, football, and track.
Metro Parks has conducted numerous community meetings. On February 6th, the Parks Board gave approval to the negotiation of an agreement between Belmont and Metro detailing the redevelopment and shared use of Rose Park. The Metro Parks Board must approve the agreement before redevelopment activities can begin.
