THE INSIDER'S VIEW HOSTS ANASTASIA BROWN THIS FRIDAY AT 10AM IN MASSEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER!

Starting her music business career as Director of Operations for Firstars Nashville, Anastasia launched Keith Urban into now superstardom and worked with Sting, Peter Frampton, John Berry and Junior Brown. Later, as VP of A&R for Ark 21, she produced Waylon Jennings' "Closing In On The Fire" and Leon Russell's "Legend In My Time" with guest artists including Sheryl Crow, Mark Knopfler, and Willie Nelson. Having made a name for herself in the Nashville music industry, Brown moved on to serve as music supervisor for projects including the 2003 Emmy Award winning and Golden Globe nominated mini-series "Taken," produced by Steven Spielberg and Leslie Bohem and, Miramax's "Daltry Calhoun," produced Quentin Tarantino and starring Johnny Knoxville, Juliette Lewis, and Elizabeth Banks.

With the 2008 publication of her book Make Me A Star: Industry Insiders Reveal How to Make It in Music, Brown shares her insights on developing a successful plan for making it in the music business. "From creating a memorable first impression to planning a winning strategy for sustained success, every step of the process is addressed. Behind the scenes stories of what worked (and what didn't) from such performers as Keith Urban, Reba McIntire, Carrie Underwood and many more show the human side of the journey" (www.nelsonministryservices.com).
