SERVICE CORPS' TRIP TO LAS VEGAS-JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SHRINER'S HOSPITAL OPEN

Service Corps has a great new opportunity for students to participate in!! We will be traveling to Las Vegas October 15-19, 2008 for the Justin Timberlake Shriner's Hospital Open. This volunteer position will consist of assisting the celebrity participants through scorekeeping and other various duties. The trip will roughly cost $300, which includes airfare and hotel. This is a great event for all you sports nuts (and music nuts too!). SERVICE CORPS REGISTRATION

Ever wanted to attend the Grammy's, meet key entertainment industry contacts, or just get involved more? Join one of Belmont University's largest student organizations, Service Corps. Service Corps is part of the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business and allows students to work various industry events such as the CMA Awards, Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, Tin Pan South, as well as other events. Service Corps has recently added the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT and the Justin Timberlake Shriner's Hopsital Open in Las Vegas, NV to the list of entertainment industry events. If any of these venues seem to be something you would be interested, join Service Corps.

To be part of this student organization, interested students can apply to be members at www.belmontservicecorps.org. Membership dues are $20 yearly. Registration closes Friday, September 12th. Past members need to reapply!!

ATTENTION SONGWRITERS

Big Yellow Dog Music and the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business will be hosting a showcase on campus in honor of BYD’s 10 Year Anniversary. A student songwriter will be selected by BYD Execs to play in the showcase along with some of Big Yellow Dog’s hit writers such as Mindy Smith, Josh Kear, Karyn Rochelle and Shawn Camp.
