Even if you have participated in previous audience events, please send the information below again. When you submit for a show, the materials are used for processing for that show, only (Security, Production, etc…). If you are interested in being an audience member, email us (we prefer email) at moorecasting@comcast.net with your full name, picture, current phone numbers, and age. Please scan and send along with your information. We have been asked to pull ages 13 and Up (Anyone under the age of 16 will need a guardian or parent). We need full names, ages and phone numbers of all participants, so we can start the confirmation process. After receiving your information we will email whether you have been confirmed with the details of the show.

We have a limited number of guests we can invite, so respond as soon as possible.

We must have your name on our audience list in order for you to attend the show. No confirmation numbers will be given. Your name will provide entrance into the show (ID required – Drivers License). The Audience will be seated.

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE!

FAMILY-FRIENDLY BAND NEEDED

The Arthritis Foundation is looking for a family-friendly band to play for about 1 ½ hours on May 4th at the beginning of their annual Arthritis Walk. '08-'09 CURB CAFÉ AUDIO COORDINATOR APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE!

Are you interested in coordinating audio in the Curb Cafe? The application and job description are now available. If you have any questions, please contact Tony Cottrill at cottrillt@mail.belmont.edu or x6614. Application deadline is June 2nd.

Job Description

This person would report directly to Tony Cottrill, coordinator of live sound and would be in charge of coordinating and maintaining live audio related production for the Cafe. Job responsibilities would include:
• Clean Crown amp filters once/month
• Clean and organize rack drawer in console rack, once/month
• Clean and organize work boxes in storage area, once/month
• Complete run through on audio system, check for left/right balance, fx working, comps/gates working, all recorders working, once/month
• Find broken or equipment in need of repair and return to classroom/workshop, once/month
• Dust console, outboard gear, once/month
• Attend one show at Café per week to monitor how advanced and intro SR students are performing (submit reports to coordinator of SR), please alternate days every week
• Check with Curb Café restaurant management about any problems they may be experiencing with SR students, bands, lock-up procedures, etc
• Supervise Writers Nights multi-track recording
• Verify personnel for Live showcase series auditions
• On call as substitute engineer during emergency situations
• Work closely with Curb Café booking coordinator, verify scheduling, Advance sheets, input lists & stage plots
• Note: There are no guest engineers for Curb Cafe, unless bands are given approval prior to their event...this is students lab time...guest engineers can produce while Belmont students mix
Criteria:
o Must have and maintain a 2.8 GPA
o Must be a full time CEMB major
o Must have Curb Café audio experience
o Must have completed with a C or better one of the following courses:
o AET 3560 Sound Reinforcement
o AET 4560 Advanced Sound Reinforcement

GMA Volunteer Opportunity

Non-profit organization, Food for the Hungry, is looking for 20-25 volunteers to work THIS Saturday after the Casting Crowns concert. Volunteers will be needed from 8:30 pm until approximately 10:00 pm at the Sommet Center. All volunteers will be invited to Food for the Hungry's showcase Monday evening, featuring 33 Miles, Sara Groves, and Leeland (8:00 pm at the Musicians Hall of Fame, Performance Hall). Belmont West Applications

To apply, prospective students must submit an application (which can be downloaded here) to the Curb College office of the Dean.

The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business accepts applications year round and admits students once a year in the spring semester prior to the semester applied for. Completed application deadline is the first Friday in May. Interviews for the Belmont West program will not take place until the fall semester prior to the Belmont West experience. Applications must be completed and returned no later than the date specified above. No late applications will be accepted. Applications can be returned to the Strategic Programs Director in the office of the Dean or faxed to 615-460-5689.

This event is a perfect opportunity for the scores of hopeful musicians in the Nashville area to get an insider's perspective into the business and Brown is eager to share the knowledge and experience she has acquired working with such legends as Miles Copeland, Peter Frampton and Sting. Internship Registration

Internships: If you are going to complete an internship SU08 or FA08 and you have all the prerequisites, you can go on Classfinder and register for the Internship as you would other classes. If it doesn't let you register, and you feel you have all the prerequisites, you will need to complete an Override Request, which is found on the door of the Office of Internships & Career Development. DO NOT BEGIN AN INTERNSHIP WITHOUT CONFIRMATION FROM THE COORDINATOR. CONFIRMATION WILL INCLUDE A SYLLABUS & THE AGREEMENT FORMS.

CEMB Album of the Year

Student Leadership Council is now accepting nominations for Album of the Year Award. The award will be announced at the CEMB Award Show on April 24th. In order to qualify for this award, the album must have been released during the 2007-2008 school year or the summer prior. At least ¾ of the band must be Belmont students.
