Insider’s View Seminar Series

With special guest Dan Muckala

Dan Muckala moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University in 1990 planning on using his knowledge of jazz and classical music to focus on his skill of playing piano. Although he had no intention of getting into the music business, Muckala soon found his passion for songs and began his craft of songwriting. Now, after being a songwriter for over 10 years and writing for Word Music Publishing since 2002, Muckala is beginning to explore more talents, including producing. Muckala has recently had success producing acts such as Nick Lachey, ‘N Sync, and Mandy Moore.

Students under the 2004-2005 OR 2005-2006 catalog that were waived from taking the GND 1015 First Year Seminar (3 hours) and/or the Sr. Capstone (1-3 hours) will still be responsible for making that number of hours up for graduation requirements.

Our Belmont community has experienced the death of four of our students in just the past two months. We grieve deeply with the families, friends, and teachers of these students. As we seek to understand what seems incomprehensible, we turn to God knowing that God loves us and is with us. We will gather as a campus community to mourn the deaths and celebrate the lives of Lee Griggs, Becka Lear, (Dustin) Jack Wells and Aidan Lloyd on January 13th at 10:00 a.m. in the Massey Performing Arts Center. I hope that you can join us on that day as we come together to support their families and friends, our students, and one another.
