Students interested in a new 2 hour course in web content management and production, MBU 3999.02 Acklen Web Content Production & Management. This course is a newly structured learning practicum for web content development and management. Students will develop and manage digital content in coordination with MBU 3630 (Record Company Operations), MBU 4630 (Concert Promotions), and Indiebandhub.com. Course involves one hour a week lecture (Monday 4PM in MBC 203B) then self assigned lab components at 34 Music Sq.
East. Internet tracking and marketing strategies will be researched along with content development including basic graphic, video, and audio development. Students will initially receive hands on training, then shift to content creation and management of artist content for Indiebandhub.com and other projects. This interdisciplinary course explores the applications of emerging and traditional music delivery and marketing systems within a commercial application environment.
