Reel Recording is looking for an audio engineering intern for the fall! Here’s some more information:
Ideal candidate will be:- Extremely organized – Detail-oriented- Basic Pro Tools knowledge- Mac proficiency- Self-starter- Somewhat flexible with schedule- Basic understanding of audio signal flow
List of tasks, responsibilities and potential projects:- Mix session prep – vocal tuning/forensic repair/editing/comping – file cleanup and organization – Tracking Session prep – Aid in session setup and line testing – Client services responsibilities- General studio upkeep – Help with dishes, vacuuming, dusting, take out trash, etc..- Studio maintenance/repair – Help test gear – Simple soldering repair on cables, etc…
Internship Outcomes: If you are willing to learn and ready to work hard, you will come out of this internship a well-rounded engineer and/or producer. You will gain invaluable, real-world experience, and learn what it’s like to be an entrepreneur in a competitive and challenging industry. Once you have completed your internship, you will have the framework needed to begin carving your own path as a freelancer and/or business owner.
Learning Objectives:- Basic soldering knowledge & proficiency- Proficiency in Pro Tools- Understanding of digital file organization and archival- high-level vocal editing, comping, & tuning abilities- Further understanding of recording/mixing/mastering philosophies
