Happy 95th Birthday Dr. Gabhart!
Gabhart1.jpgFormer Belmont University President and current Chancellor Dr. Herbert Gabhart will be celebrating his 95th birthday on Aug. 19. The Office of Alumni Relations would like to invite the campus to honor Dr. Gabhart by sending a birthday message to alumni@belmont.edu.

The Alumni office will compile all messages from alumni, faculty, staff and friends in a book to present to Dr. Gabhart. Please submit all wishes, reflections, memories and greetings by Fri., Aug. 14. Thank you for helping to celebrate this milestone with a Belmont legend!





Nashville Youth Choir Announces 2009-10 Season and Auditions
The Nashville Youth Choir is a part of the Nashville Children' s Choir Program, one of numerous programs of the Belmont Academy which is the preparatory division of Belmont 's School of Music. Nashville Youth Choir membership is open by audition to students in grades 9-12. Tuition for the season, which runs from August to May, is $250, with tuition discounts available for families with multiple children participating in the Nashville Choir Program. Each semester includes approximately 13 Monday afternoon rehearsals from 4:30-6 p.m. held in the Massey Performing Arts Center on the Belmont University campus. Auditions for the Nashville Youth Choir can be arranged by appointment or by coming to the first scheduled rehearsal on Aug. 17. To set up an audition either before or on the Aug. 17 date, contact Robert King, director, at robert.king@lipscomb.edu.

Provost Candidate Sessions for Faculty and Staff Next Week
provost_header2.jpgProvost Candidate Dr. Tom Winter will be on campus next week and will hold sessions to visit with Belmont faculty and staff. Please make an effort to review the materials on the Provost Search Web site, meet each candidate and give your evaluation of the candidates using the resources that will be provided.

Dr. Tom Winter Sessions: Tues., Aug. 4 from 1:30-3 p.m. and Wed., Aug. 5 from 9-10:30 a.m. Both sessions will take place in the Vince Gill Room.
