40/40 Hits the Road
Belmont's 40/40 class hit the road early last Saturday morning, and the group has already visited Memphis, Little Rock, New Orleans, San Antonio, El Paso and Roswell. Planning to tour “The United States in 40 Days,” the 10 students and two faculty members are traveling 9,300+ miles cross-country in an attempt to answer the question, “What Does It Mean to Be an American?” Today, the group is scheduled to stop at a Native American Indian Reservation in Gallup, New Mexico. The photos are from Monday, when the class spent a part of its stay in New Orleans volunteering at the St. Bernard Community Center.
