Belmont Community Invited to Green Business and Living Summit and Expo
The Green Business and Living Summit and Expo will be held on the Lipscomb University campus April 2-4. This event is hosted by Lipscomb University’s Institute for Sustainable Practice and focuses on growing green business opportunities in Tennessee such as green building, energy, transportation, home, office, electronics, waste elimination and the environment. There will be a Green Expo showcasing green products and services for consumers as well as a summit for business leaders interested in this rapidly growing market and in greening their business practices. Electronic Recycling Event for Nashville Community
An electronic recycling event open to the Nashville Community is being held Sat., April 4 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the parking lot of the David Lipscomb High School football field. Both personal and business items will be accepted for recycling free of charge. We recommend reformatting or erasing hard drives although they will be shredded. Enter the parking lot on Caldwell Lane between Lealand Lane and Granny White Pike. Recycling company Southeast Recycling (www.recyclebulbs.com) will accept unwanted computers, televisions, printers or any electronic equipment "with a plug." The only exceptions will be refrigeration or air conditioning units.
