Free Passes Available to "Legends & Lyrics" Taping
Public Television Series "Legends & Lyrics" will be taping in Nashville, Fri.-Mon., Feb. 20-24, and the Belmont community can get free passes! "Legends & Lyrics" is a unique musical performance series showcasing the art of songwriting. Each show is a mixture of famous recording artists who write their own hits as well as the professional song poets who supply hit songs for others.
Ten shows will be filmed in Nashville, Tennessee at the historic Grand Masonic Lodge on the corner of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Two shows will be filmed each day featuring three songwriters in an "in-the-round" setting. Each show will also feature a "Rising Star."
A few of the confirmed artists include Gavin DeGraw, Melissa Manchester, Josh Kelly, Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Roger McGuinn, Amy Lee (Evanescence), Dwight Yoakam, Brittini Black, Guy Clark, Darryl Worley and 30 others!
Belmont students and friends can get free passes for all of the shows by going to www.legendsandlyrics.com. The series is produced by Song-Writers In The Round, Inc. and is being distributed by American Public Television to PBS stations nationwide.
