Blasting Information
As blasting continues for the construction of a new building and underground garage, Belmont University officials want to ensure the safest possible environment for all students, employees and guests. Belmont security officers and construction personnel will continue to block pedestrian and vehicular routes around the site during blasting. Those efforts will now be expanded to move individuals away from windows near the blast site.
All windows with a view towards the construction site in the following buildings must be cleared of people from the time of the warning horn (five and three minutes prior to the blast) until the “All Clear” is sounded at the completion of the blast:
Heron Hall
Pembroke Hall
Psychology Department Building
Inman Center
Massey Business Center
We appreciate your full cooperation with these new requirements, and thank you for your continued patience with ongoing construction. Blasting related to this project is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of March.
