IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS
Belmont is a Christian community of learning and service that strives to support its members through prayer. The following concerns have come to our attention recently. Thank you for including them in your prayers:
Marketing faculty member Dr. Robert Lambert had emergency heart-bypass surgery this past Friday evening but is now doing well. He looks good and is in good spirits, and his doctor discharged him from the hospital earlier this week. If you’d like to wish him well, Robert’s email address is lambertr@mail.belmont.edu.
Jim Early (Telecommunications) is in Vanderbilt Hospital undergoing tests and hopefully will be released this weekend. Jim received a new liver last fall and came back to work in mid-December. Over the break he experienced some issues with his liver, and as a result he is back at Vandy for treatment. Please remember Jim and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to recuperate. To show your support, please contact Jim's wife Karen at
Karen_early@dell.com or thamerisk5@yahoo.com.
Eddie Lightsey passed away on Dec. 23 after a brief illness. Eddie worked at Belmont in the Office of Image Resources and the Belmont Mansion. Donations may be made in Eddie’s memory to St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, Alive Hospice and/or the American Cancer Society. Please keep Eddie and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
