Belmont Women's Soccer Makes History
Team Departs for NCAA Tournament
Cinderella is headed to the Big Dance after a heart-stopping performance in the finals of the Atlantic Sun Tournament on Saturday. The third seeded Belmont women's soccer team (13-6-3) upset top seeded Mercer (11-5-4) in penalty kicks, 2-1, after a 0-0 double overtime draw. The victory sends the Bruins to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, with the women playing their opening round game against Auburn at 5 p.m. today.
