Join Belmont Auxiliary Partners: Guest Speaker Scheduled for Oct.
Connect with the Belmont Community and provide scholarships for Belmont Students by joining the Belmont Auxiliary Partners. The Auxiliary was established as Belmont College Aid in 1954 to promote interest in the University and to assist the administration, Board of Trustees, faculty and staff in providing scholarships for students. The organization was renamed the Belmont University Auxiliary in 1991 and then the Belmont Auxiliary Partners in 2007.
Through the years, Belmont Auxiliary Partners has provided scholarships for many deserving students who otherwise might not have had an opportunity for a Christian education. All women, including Board of Trustee members, faculty and staff (and their spouses/family members) and community members interested in the mission of Belmont University are eligible for membership in the Belmont Auxiliary Partners.
The Belmont Auxiliary Partners group meets twice annually, in the spring and the fall, with a luncheon meeting featuring a guest speaker. The 2008 Belmont University Auxiliary Partners Fall Luncheon will take place on Thurs., Oct. 23 at 11:30 a.m. in the Maddox Grand Atrium. The guest speaker is Susan Gregg Gilmore, Nashville author of Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen. The cost for the event is $40, and $20 of the cost will be donated to the Belmont Auxiliary Partners Endowed Scholarship and will be tax deductible. If you are interested in attending, please contact Margaret Schlereth at 460-5460 or schlerethm@mail.belmont.edu.
