VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Volunteer Mentors Needed for Foster Children
Last year, Governor Phil Bredesen and the Department of Children’s Services collaborated with Youth Villages to launch L.I.F.T. (Lead, Inspire, Fulfill, Teach), a statewide program that pairs volunteer mentors with children in foster care. The goal is to provide pre-teens and teens living in foster care with a stable, positive adult influence in their lives. This is a chance for members of the community to get involved and make a difference! If you are interested in spending four hours a month with a youth in foster care, or would like more information, please feel free to visit the website at www.youthvillages.org/mentor or contact David LaPell at (615) 445-7425 or by e-mail at david.lapell@youthvillages.org.
