IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS
Belmont is a Christian community of learning and service that strives to support its members through prayer. The following concerns have come to our attention recently. Thank you for including them in your prayers:
Thomas Schafer, father of Dr. Dan Schafer (associate professor of history), passed away Friday afternoon, just having passed his ninetieth birthday. The visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat., Aug. 16, at Southminster Presbyterian Church (643 Harding Place, Nashville, TN 37211, 615-833-1565), with the funeral following at 2 p.m.
Eve Owens, mother of Dr. Chris Algren, associate dean of the School of Nursing, passed away last night. Arrangements are being handled by the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, Florida. In lieu of flowers, Chris has asked that donations be made to the Equipment Fund in the School of Nursing.
