Belmont Text Alerts: Update on Registration, Carrier Changes
Nearly 3,000 Belmont students, faculty and staff are currently signed up for Belmont Text Alerts, a system used to enhance and expand university communication in the event of an on-campus emergency or unscheduled university closing due to, for instance, severe weather. There is no cost to register, but standard text messaging rates do apply. Belmont University only uses text alerts for emergencies, not promotional purposes.

Please note: If you changed the service provider on your cell phone since you signed up for Belmont Text Alerts, you will need to sign up again, even if your phone number did not change. The Belmont Text Alert system requires both accurate cell phone numbers and cell service provider information to work properly.

Registering for Belmont Text Alerts is quick and easy. Simply text the word Belmont (not case-sensitive) to the number 27538 OR sign into your BIC account and click the "Sign Up Now" link near the top of the page.
