Thank You from the School of Pharmacy

To the entire Belmont community,

Today the School of Pharmacy reached a major milestone with the completion of a successful three-day site visit from the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education. The members of the site team complimented the School of Pharmacy faculty and staff for all that they have accomplished over the past nine months. They marveled at how far we have come in such a short time.

While appreciated, these compliments were too narrowly focused. Each accomplishment that was singled out represents a University-wide achievement. We are blessed to have the energetic support of colleagues who believe in the Belmont mission and see health care education as an avenue for meeting our obligations to help create a more equitable, just and caring society.

For the support that has come our way since the School of Pharmacy was founded in June 2007, we thank you. Your collective trust in our ability to be good stewards of the Belmont mission and reputation is humbling. We intend to prove that trust.

Scholarship and Awards Day Convocation to Be Held April 21
The Belmont campus community is invited to celebrate the academic accomplishments of our students on Mon., April 21 at the annual Scholarship and Awards Day Convocation at 10 a.m. in Massey Concert Hall. President Robert Fisher will deliver opening remarks, and Dr. Richard Hoffman, the 2006-2007 Chaney Distinguished Professor, will present the honors address. University Writing, Service and Leadership Awards will be presented. Fall 2007 Deans List students and Retiring Faculty will be recognized. In honor of this occasion, all campus offices will close from 9:45-11 a.m. For those offices that must remain open, supervisors are asked to make arrangements so that as many staff as possible may attend.

2008 Faculty and Staff Campaign

Now is a great time to renew your current payroll deduction pledge or create a new one. Every gift given by faculty and staff members directly benefits our students and our university.
