union2008group2.jpgOn Sat., Feb. 16, a Belmont Disaster Relief Team drove to Union University to aid in the clean up from recent tornados. A number of Belmont faculty, staff and students participated. For more information on how you can help Union in their recovery, click here.

Battle of the Boulevard Children's Book Drive & Family Literacy Day Silent Auction
Help us avenge our loss to Lipscomb in last year's Battle of the Blvd. Book Drive. Bring your new or gently used children's book (or books) to the Lipscomb game Fri. night, Feb. 22. All books collected will be donated to Book'em, a local literacy organization that promotes literacy throughout the community. Also, come bid on a variety of wonderful items at the 2nd Annual Silent Auction to Benefit Belmont's Family Literacy Day to be held at the Battle of the Blvd. men's game on Fri., Feb. 22. All proceeds from the auction will support our 8th Annual Family Literacy Day to be held on Sat., April 12 at E.S. Rose Park in the Edgehill community. Clothing Donations Wanted for West African Orphans
Rofoindu Education Project for Orphan Children (REPOC) is a nonprofit organization helping orphaned and vulnerable children and their communities in the war ravaged country of Sierra Leone, West Africa. REPOC is requesting donations of used clothing and shoes for children of all ages. Please drop your gifts on the porch near the front door of Belmont's Landscaping office in Pembroke Hall.
