IT'S ALL BELMONT TO ME - Belmont FYI Feature Profile of the Week

Make It Seamless

Nanci Alsup.jpgThis week’s Belmont FYI feature profile of the week has been a part of the Belmont community for nearly nine years. Nanci Alsup was nominated for the fourth guiding principle – Make It Seamless – for her work as Teaching Center Program Assistant.

What Nanci enjoys most about her job is working with the people at Belmont. “I work with our faculty members across campus helping them with anything from making travel plans and attending our luncheons to presenting at workshops,” Nanci said. “I enjoy the diversity each department offers, and it’s great for me to see how each individual faculty member contributes to the Belmont culture in big ways.” Nanci also says that she feels blessed to have the opportunity to serve faculty every day.

For Nanci, to make it seamless simply means to make things happen as easily as possible. “If I receive a phone call and don’t know the answer, I know where I can find it and instead of directing someone on a wild goose chase, I will simply find the information myself and call them back personally,” Nanci said. “In these situations everyone wins, I have the pleasure of seeing a task from the beginning to the end, and the customer’s need is met as well.”
