You're Invited...


Walk As One
Team Belmont will be joining Community Nashville at their Walk as One event on Sat., Oct. 6, 2007. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the two-mile walk starting at 9 a.m. Belmont is a sponsor of this exciting event, so no entry fee will be required for those who want to walk with Team Belmont, and our will meet in Centennial Park near the Planes and Trains exhibit at 8 a.m. (near the playground area).

Community Nashville, the host for Walk as One, is an organization committed to fighting racism, bigotry and bias in the local area. They seek to promote understanding and mutual respect for different backgrounds and diverse cultures. Free T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants who sign up to walk with Team Belmont. Join Dr. Fisher at the A-Sun Cross Country Championships!
To honor Cross Country’s numerous accomplishments, President Fisher is inviting all faculty and staff to attend the upcoming A-Sun Cross Country Championships. Let’s show our support for these remarkable student athletes as both men's and women's cross country teams chase their sixth A-Sun championship trophies.
What: The A-Sun Cross Country Championship and the kickoff for the First Annual President’s Spirit Award (A new, campus-wide spirit contest will be awarded to the student organization and/or group demonstrating the most school spirit at the meet)
Why: To demonstrate our pride in the Belmont Bruins and to support our student athletes
When: Saturday, October 27
8 a.m.: Breakfast
9 a.m.: Women’s meet
10 a.m.: Men’s meet
11 a.m.: Cross Country Championship Award Ceremony
Where: Percy Warner Park (Corner of Hwy 100 and Old Hickory Blvd.)
