Coming Up


Belmont’s Opera Theatre Department will present Mozart’s The Magic Flute, the tale of a prince and his companion battling evil forces to rescue a princess.

Acclaimed jazz vocalist Paula Chavis will perform at the second "Jazz at Belmont Mansion" series on Saturday, November 11, from 7-9 p.m.

The Country Music Showcase is Saturday, November 11, at 7 p.m. in the Curb Event Center.

The Belmont Little Theatre presents "A Children's Hour" by Lillian Hellman.

The Piano Ensemble will perform Sunday, November 12, at 7 p.m. in Harton Recital Hall (Massey Performing Arts Center).

The Belmont Department of Art invites you to to view Notions of Multiplicity: Paintings by Carol Mode. Carol Mode's paintings create "spaces in mind", mental maps full of visual information. Leu Art Gallery at the Lila D. Bunch Library, November 13 - January 26. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 4-6 p.m.

Pops will perform Monday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Massey Concert Hall.

The Wind Ensemble will perform Tuesday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Massey Concert Hall.

Session and Phoenix will perform Thursday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Curb Cafe.

The String Quartet will perform Sunday, November 19, at 2 p.m. in the Leu Art Gallery at the Lila D. Bunch Library.

Dr. Joel Treybig, trumpet, and Dr. Carolyn Treybig, flute, will present a classical Faculty Concert on Monday, November 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Belmont Heights Baptist Church. Guest Andrew Peters will be the organist.

You are invited to preview Street Jamz on Tuesday, November 28 at 5 p.m. or Wednesday, November 29 at 11:30 a.m. in the group fitness room located in the Beaman Center. Street Jamz is the cardio workout where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance styles and hottest new sounds puts the emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat. With our funky instructor, Wesley Lagarde, he teaches you to move with attitude through this fun and energetic class.
