Coming Up
Stop by the Beaman Student Life Center access control desk to register for the ACIS Pontiac Solstice Sweepstakes. One student, faculty or staff person will be selected from among one of the 200 Pontiac ACIS Flag Football campuses to win a 2007 Pontiac Solstice. Enter the sweepstakes between September 25 - November 27. The winner will be announced on December 6. For more information, click here.
The Department of Theatre and Dance will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare September 28 - October 8 in the amphitheatre. Check BIC or call x6199 for specific show times and other information.
The Wind Ensemble will perform Wednesday, October 4 at 12 p.m. in the Massey Performing Arts Center Atrium.
Are you ready for the challenge? Cardio Extreme will be an intense; 2 hour session of cardio, cardio, and more cardio. Each segment consists of 20 minute classes to get that heart rate up and those calories burning. Segments will be a combination of indoor cycling, dance, kickboxing, cardio jam, and a grand finale of awesome abs! Cardio Extreme will be held outside in the amphitheater near the bell tower from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on October 4th. It’s a great workout right before fall break! (If it rains, we will move it to the Beaman Center.)

You are invited to celebrate Belmont's top ten ranking in U.S. News and World Report with two special events. On October 10, Dr. Fisher will deliver a "coffee and Krispy Kreme donut break" to designated areas on campus. More details to follow. You are also invited to bring your families to "ten hours of fun" on Saturday, October 7, in conjunction with Parent and Family weekend.

5:30 p.m. Barbecue at Bell Tower Amphitheatre
6:00 p.m. “Top Ten Reasons Why Belmont Is Top Ten” Show, hosted by President Bob Fisher
Students (only) are invited to submit 10 reasons why Belmont University is the top 10 school. The best 5 submissions, including the winner and runner-up, will be selected prior to the event and will be read by President Fisher at the Barbecue. Students must be present to win.The winner of the Top 10 competition will receive a trip for 2 to NYC and the David Letterman Show. The first runner-up will receive 2 VIP passes to the CMA Awards.

Dr. Kristi Whitten, Associate Professor of Voice and Director of the Belmont Opera Theatre, will perform a classical vocal concert on Monday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Belmont Mansion.
The Belmont University Orchestra presents Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Tuesday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Massey Concert Hall.
