The Belmont chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, in conjunction with the Nashville chapter of Public Relations Society of America, will host Doing the Right Thing, a half-day program dedicated to ethics in the PR workplace. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Business Center Boardroom and will feature three sessions, including an address from Belmont's own, Dr. Harry Hollis, Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Business Ethics. The Office of Spiritual Development will host Art Gish of Christians Peacemaker Teams on Friday, September 22, at 10 a.m. in the Multimedia Hall of the Bunch Library. Christians Peacemaker Teams engage in nonviolent activism in Israel/Palestine and Iraq that embodies the love of Christ.

The Men's Track and Cross Country Teams are hosting the 5th Annual Together We Can 5k and Children's Running Festival on Saturday, September 23. All proceeds from the race, festival and food drive will benefit Feed America First. Pre-registration begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 22 and festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 23. For more information please contact Jeff Langdon.

The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business presents the Pop/Rock Showcase on Saturday, September 23 at 7 p.m. in the Curb Event Center.

Faculty Concert Series: Drummer Chester Thompson, formerly of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention and the Phil Collins B
and, presents a concert on Monday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Massey Concert Hall.

A panel of academic deans will talk about how their faith informs their work as academic leaders for the Academic Dean's Convocation on Monday, September 25, at 10 a.m. in the Multimedia Hall in the Bunch Library The panel will include Dean Pat Raines (College of Business Administration), Dean Debra Wollaber (Gordon E. Inman College of Health Sciences and Nursing), and Dean Cynthia Curtis (College of Visual and Performing Arts).

One student, faculty or staff person will be selected from among one of the 200 Pontiac ACIS Flag Football campuses to win a 2007 Pontiac Solstice. ASCAP and The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business presents the Writer’s Showcase on Tuesday, September 26 at 6 p.m. in the Curb Cafe.
