The Department of Art presents “Plus Reality,” paintings by Sue Mulcahy, September 7 – October 28. Opening Reception: Saturday, September 16, 5:30 p.m. Leu Art Gallery, Bunch Library.
The annual Belmont Cares 2006 Charity Campaign will host a breakfast on Wednesday, September 20, in the cafeteria. Breakfast will be $1 and will be donated, along with pledges to Community Health Charities of Tennessee, Community Shares of Tennessee and United Way.
Belmont University will host the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour on September 20, 2006. The tour, which brings together America's top young entrepreneurs, will be held in the Curb Event Center. Speakers will include young entrepreneurs who have made, earned and sold their company for millions, making a huge impact before the age of 25. Admission is free. The Belmont chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, in conjunction with the Nashville chapter of Public Relations Society of America, will host Doing the Right Thing, a half-day program dedicated to ethics in the PR workplace. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Business Center Boardroom and will feature three sessions, including an address from Belmont's own, Dr. Harry Hollis, Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Business Ethics. The Office of Spiritual Development will host Art Gish of Christians Peacemaker Teams on Friday, September 22, at 10 a.m. in the Multimedia Hall of the Bunch Library. Christians Peacemaker Teams engage in nonviolent activism in Israel/Palestine and Iraq that embodies the love of Christ.
The Men's Track and Cross Country Teams are hosting the 5th Annual Together We Can 5k and Children's Running Festival on Saturday, September 23. All proceeds from the race, festival and food drive will benefit Feed America First. Pre-registration begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 22 and festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 23. For more information please contact Jeff Langdon.

Faculty Concert Series: Drummer Chester Thompson, formerly of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention and the Phil Collins Band, presents a concert on Monday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Massey Concert Hall.
A panel of academic deans will talk about how their faith informs their work as academic leaders for the Academic Dean's Convocation on Monday, September 25, at 10 a.m. in the Multimedia Hall in the Bunch Library The panel will include Dean Pat Raines (College of Business Administration), Dean Debra Wollaber (Gordon E. Inman College of Health Sciences and Nursing), and Dean Cynthia Curtis (College of Visual and Performing Arts).
ASCAP and The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business presents the Writer’s Showcase on Tuesday, September 26 at 6 p.m. in the Curb Cafe.
