Coming Up

Baccalaureate is Friday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at Belmont Heights Baptist Church.

The School of Nursing will be moving to the Gordon E. Inman College of Heath Sciences and Nursing Building starting May 15. During this time of transition to the new building, phone and e-mail capabilities will be limited. The School of Nursing would like to encourage you to contact them prior to Friday, May 12 or after May 22 if any SON related issues arise. The phone extensions, e-mail, and mailing address information will remain the same for all faculty and staff. Thank you for your assistance and understanding with this move - School of Nursing.

Spring Commencement is Saturday, May 13 at 10 a.m. in the Curb Event Center. The Inman garage will be open and available for parking during the ceremony. A security officer will be stationed at the entrance of the garage, which is located off of Acklen Avenue between 15th Avenue and Belmont Circle. We would like to encourage all faculty and staff to utilize the Inman Garage to accommodate the parking needs of our graduates and their families.

The 2006 Sports Evangelism Team departs for Venezuela on Monday, May 15. The team will chronicle their experiences through an online journal. To follow their travels, sign up to receive updates here.

The Curb Event Center will host two shows to be taped for the highly regarded PBS My Music Series featuring legendary Country and 70’s Soft Rock entertainers. The Country Classics taping is May 16 and will feature Bill Anderson, Hank Locklin, Jim Ed Brown and The Browns, Crystal Gayle, Billy Swan, The Bellamy Brothers, and more. Complimentary tickets are available from The Wolf (WSM-FM) or the Curb Box Office. The 70’s Soft Rock taping is May 17 and will feature Orleans, Peter Rivera, Sonny Geraci, The Starland Vocal Band and more. Complimentary tickets are available from Oldies 97.1 (WRQQ-FM) or the Curb Box Office.

Auditions for the Nashville Children's Choir will be May 18 and May 23. To set an audition time, e-mail the child’s name, parent’s name, home phone, grade and name of school for 2006/2007, date you wish to audition (May 18 or 13), and approximate time you wish to audition between 4-6:30 p.m. to ncc@mail.belmont.edu.
