Parking Details Surrounding CMT Awards Show at the Curb Event Center

Belmont University has been selected to host the 2006 CMT Music Awards which will be held Mon., April 10 2006, in the Curb Event Center. Performers slated to take center stage at the show include Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Gretchen Wilson, Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland. Jeff Foxworthy will return as host.

The show, which will air live on CMT, will have a sell-out crowd. Although all ticketed audience members will be shuttled from Greer Stadium, many areas of the university will be impacted for several days prior and immediately following the show in order to support all technical and media needs.

In order to increase parking spaces on campus for the Belmont community the day of the show, the new parking garage located under the Gordon E. Inman Health Science Building will temporarily be operational. We encourage all commuter students, faculty and staff to utilize that facility on April 10. Entrance to the Inman Center garage is located in the alley between 15th Avenue and the main entrance to Belmont on Wedgewood Avenue. Residential students who normally park in the garage by the Curb Event Center are also encouraged to park in the Inman Center garage and the 12th Avenue lots to maximize available space in the Curb garage.
