Coming Up


Belmont will host a viewing party of the 2006 NCAA Championship Selection Special this Sunday, March 12, from 4 -7 p.m. in the lobby of the Beaman Student Life Center. Televisions will be set up throughout the lobby showing CBS Television’s coverage of the NCAA Tournament Selection Special. In addition, there will be an introduction of the Belmont players and coaches, giveaways, refreshments and other festivities that will celebrate Belmont’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The next Belmont FAQ session for faculty and staff will be Monday, March 13, from 10 - 10:50 a.m. in the Beaman Student Life Center, Rooms A and B. As part of an ongoing effort to further enhance communication on campus, Dr. Fisher and the senior leadership team are continuing a unique presentation for faculty and staff to answer some of Belmont’s most frequently asked questions.

Eleanor Heartney will present a slide lecture entitled "Postmodern Heretics: The Catholic Imagination in Contemporary Art" on March 16 at 7 p.m. in the Maddox Grand Atrium. This lecture is the third in a series organized to accompany the Cheekwood exhibition 100 Artists See God .

Belle Voci – Thursday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Belmont Heights Baptist Church.

Mixed Bill 2 – Dance Program’s annual recital for Belmont University Dance Minors. Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Massey Concert Hall.

Belmont University Guitar Ensemble – Monday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Harton Recital Hall in Massey Performing Arts Center.

Belmont University Jazz Ensemble – Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Massey Concert Hall.
