Belmont has established a Big Brothers Big Sisters Chapter and is now looking for volunteers. In addition to site based mentoring with schools and resource centers, men and women are needed to mentor children in the community based program which allows them to take the children to activities and spend 4 - 8 hours together each week. There are volunteer opportunities for faculty, staff and students. Contact Patricia Jacobs at jacobsp@mail.belmont.edu or x6490 for more information.

Belmont's Office of Adult Degree Programs is offering a "Belmont After Hours" seminar series for Professional Women in Leadership. Each participant will attend one session per month from February - April in Brentwood with proceeds going to scholarships for adult students enrolled at Belmont. The series will cover topics vital to women in the workforce, from negotiation to business etiquette to general well-being. Click here for more information.

The Spring 2005 Employee Training and Development web pages have been updated. You'll find optional professional classes for the year, and workshops for new employees and managers of staff for this semester.
