Announcements

Beginning next week, all departmental Cannon copiers will begin being replaced with new Ricoh machines. The RJ Young Company is overseeing this transition. RJ Young representatives will remove old machines at the same time the new units are delivered. We are making this change now in order to give everyone ample time to learn the new equipment and set appropriate security codes as needed. The entire campus process will take a few weeks to complete. Office managers and copier users will be trained during the transition period. If you have any immediate issues, please contact Belmont copy center supervisor, Eric Burford, at 6633, copy center associate, Misty Biggers, at 6630 or RJ Young representative, Kyle Mouille, at 255-8551. As of June 1, all departments are now being billed four cents per page/click for all copies made in the copy center and at your convenience copiers. This is a 1.5 cent decrease from the previous convenience copier charges. As a result of the above price reduction, all low-quantity, quick service copy jobs can now be run on your departmental copiers if that is the most convenient and best fits your deadline needs. Large quantity, special needs jobs should be sent to the copy center staff who will oversee the entire production of the job. All basic work requests sent to the copy center (tests, syllabi, etc.) will require a 24-hour turn around time. Large quantity special work requests that may require binding, laminating or folding must be submitted at least 3 business days in advance of the deadline.

The 2005-2006 student job fair will take place at 12:00 p.m. on August 22 in the Neely Dining Room. To all departments who would like to confirm space for the job fair, please contact Zakia Smith at 460-6970 or smithz@mail.belmont.edu.
