Congratulations to Deborah Nunn on her recent appointment to the 2004-2005 Tennessee Higher Education Commission's Advisory Committee for the Improving Teacher Quality Grant Program. Read more under the Achievers Section above.
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, comprised of mostly Belmont alumni, will be on The Hour of Power this Sunday. Check your local listings for channel and time information.
The Staff Affairs Committee would like to congratulate the Chili Cook-Off Winners. The hottest chili prize went to Dorian Meaders, and the best overall chili prize went to Veronica Smith and Kelly Kane. Thanks also to The Belmont Bookstore, Brighton Collectables, The Tin Roof, The Melting Pot, Fleet Feet Sports, The Donut Den, and Cheekwood for the great prizes!
Congratulations to Catherine Long Murphy ('03) on the birth of her son on October 21. Catherine works in the University Bookstore.
