All faculty, staff, administrators, and friends of the Belmont community are invited to bring their children and/or grandchildren to a Halloween Festival on Friday, October 29th. Hail, Heron, and Pembroke residence halls are creating the first annual Nightmare on North Lawn. From 6-9 pm Pembroke Hall will be transformed into a haunted house and Hail and Heron Halls will have room to room trick-or-treating, crafts, games, and lots of snacks.
The Athletic Department would like to invite all faculty, staff, and students to cheer on the Bruin men's and women's cross country teams as Belmont hosts the 2004 Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 30. The Belmont women's team will try for their fourth straight conference crown, while the BU men will race for their third straight title. The championship, which includes teams from all 11 A-Sun schools, will be held at the Vaughn's Creek Course at Percy Warner Park. The course is located off of Highway 100, just east of Old Hickory Boulevard in West Nashville. Admission is FREE. The women's race begins at 9:00an, while the men will follow at 10:00am. An awards ceremony will begin at 11:00am. The HHP Majors Club is having a Fall Festival with food, crafts, games and prizes, on October 30 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the HHP Building. The College of Business Administration will host Financing Economic Development with guests from Ten Thousand Villages and World Relief on Tuesday, November 9 from 5:00 - 6:10 p.m. in the Neely Dining Hall. Rebecca Coke of Ernst&Young Chicago will share her research on Financing Economic Development in under privileged countries, followed by a panel discussion with guests from Ten Thousand Villages and World Relief.
