The Appeal of Wood-Turning – John Jordan and Brenda Stein
Contemporary wood art covers a diverse range of forms, from turned-wood vessels to sculpture and furniture. Great care is taken to ensure that the grain and the wood itself are aligned to form the individual pieces. This exhibit features works by two of the best wood-turners in the state, both of whom represent a variety of techniques. Leu Art Gallery at the Lila D. Bunch Library (1900 Belmont Blvd.). Jim Meaders – The Sabbatical Work and Beyond
In the Fall of 2004, Professor of Art Jim Meaders took a sabbatical to concentrate on his creative work and to produce a body of mixed media paintings for exhibit. Leu Center for the Visual Arts, Gallery 121 (1900 Belmont Blvd. Exhibit runs through September 29. Free Admission.
