Coming Up

The Curb Event Center will host A Place Called Hope: Michael English and Friends Benefit Concert for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Saturday, August 6, at 7:30 p.m. Michael English will host David Phelps, Scott Riggan, Katie Giguere, Christopher Lee and Keith Garrett. This fundraiser will lead in to the August Jerry Lewis Telethon on Fox 17. Gold Circle tickets are $15.50 with all others at $10.50.
The Nashville Youth Choir announces its 2005-2006 Season. The Youth Choir is a part of the Nashville Children’s Choir Program, one of numerous programs of the Belmont Academy, the preparatory division of Belmont’s School of Music. Nashville Youth Choir membership is open, by audition, to students in 9-12 for the 2005-2006 school year. Tuition for the season, which runs from August to May, is $250, with tuition discounts available for families with multiple children participating in the Nashville Choir Program. Each semester includes approximately 13 Monday afternoon rehearsals from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m., held in the Massey Performing Arts Center. Auditions for the Nashville Youth Choir will be held August 15, and regular rehearsals begin the following Monday, August 22. To set up an audition either before or on the August 15 date, contact Robert King, Director, at 615.279-6410, or e-mail robert.king@lipscomb.edu.
Move In Day is Saturday, August 20. Contact Matt Burchett at burchettm@mail.belmont.edu or 460-8532 to volunteer for a shift.
The first day of classes is August 24.
High School Preview Days for juniors and seniors are scheduled for October 1, October 29 and November 12.

In Our Thoughts

Please keep Dr. Marty Bell, professor in the School of Religion, in your prayers over the loss of his mother, Mrs. Vivian Marie Bell, who passed away on Saturday, July 23.
