Greetings from Krackow
Beverly called from Krackow on Saturday evening to ask us to keep praying for them. The camp may be over, but the team will still travel on Sunday afternoon back to Warsaw and then fly to Nashville on Monday. Everyone is well. Sunday morning the team will tour the Jewish ghetto from the German occupation.
In addition to praying for travel safety, pray for the team as they say "goodbye" to both new and old friends.

Mission Trip Update - Friday, July 15
Our final day of camp was great. We started our morning time by reviewing what we had learned during the week. The youth shared a skit that they had worked on during the week. They did a great job! Following the youth skit we had a talent show. I think we had about 32 different acts. We had everything from classical music to silly skits. The kids seemed to really enjoy participating and had a great time. Today we had many of the parents and family members attend the talent show.

Youth Accept Christ
Hey everyone, I just wanted to report to you what has happened through the end of the bible study time this week. Travis spoke on the Prodigal Son this morning and what a response we had.
This morning seven students gave their life to Christ. This is awesome. Please pray for them as they begin their new walk in Christ. I want to ask you to pray for a young student who I believe is lost. I was able to walk with him to a store which lasted 30 minutes. I hope to have an opportunity to speak with him tomorrow. God Rocks!
Just As I Am,
Jack

Mission Trip Update - Thursday, July 14
We just completed our fourth day of camp. It went really well. Our children's Bible team shared about being fishers of men today and about how we are to follow Jesus. The youth had a wonderful Bible time today. They had (7) youth accept Christ. We are rejoicing in these decisions.

A Report from Jack: Prayer Experience
Hey everyone,
This is Jack and I want to let you know what is happening through the third day.
Today we had an awesome day. The Lord really lead the way and showed up in power. We are focused on the cross and today was themed "offering of obedience." We talked about the calling of the disciples and what it meant to walk and folllow Jesus. This study was started with a Trust Fall Sequence that helped build team unity and how to rely on one another. To finish our worship time today we had a Prayer Experience.

A Report from Hagan
Y'all know that I have to blog something while I'm over here! I never stop typing (talking) no matter what continent I land on!
This week in, many ways, has been the most powerful of the five times I have served at the youth camp here in Poland. Today I felt the Holy Spirit in a way that I cannot begin to explain. The prayer experience that Leanne mentioned is a very powerful activity I was first involved in at Centrifuge in 2004. We were able to obtain the file and translate it into Polish one week before we left Tennessee...it was a God thing because it has been THE tool to turn their eyes toward the gospel presentation that we will share tomorrow. Please pray for that time, many are christians, but there are a few that need to make decisions and several that need a renewed walk with Christ!

Mission Trip Update - Wednesday, July 13
We had a great 3rd day of camp. Today we had 146 children and youth. This number does not include our team or our interpreters and helpers. I think we had at least 200 here today. Everyone is having a great time. Today in Bible the children studied about the Prodigal son. The Bible team also used the Evangacube to share with the kids today. They said the children were very attentive during this time and listened and watched as the Bible study leader shared.

Prayers for Peter
Thank you for praying for the GREEN ROWDY Group. We had a great day today. Please pray for Peter from the green group. He is a very poor child. He demands alot of attention. He desparately needs the LOVE of CHRIST. If his heart does not turn to Christ his future will be so difficult. I have seen him twice off campus. He is really a sweet boy, just very needy. Pray for his teacher, Donna. She is doing a great job LOVING this child. Thank you for your continued prayer support.

Mission Trip Update - Tuesday, July 12
We had a great 2nd day of camp. Today we had 135 children and youth attend. Everyone is having a great time. Our team is well prepared and is doing a wonderful job! Our theme this week is "Following Jesus." Today in Bible the children learned how Jesus loved the woman at the well and how He loves each one of them also. Their scripture verse was John 3:16. The older children are learning their Bible verses in both Polish and English. The youth had another great day as well and were able to hear Travis' testimony. Their numbers continue to grow each day.

Mission Trip Update - Monday, July 11
We had a wonderful first day of camp. The weather is great! We had 129 children and youth at camp today. All of the groups went very well. Many of the same children returned this year. They sure grow up fast in a year!
Our youth team told us tonight in our team meeting that they also have several of the same youth and many of them are Christians.

Thank you all for your prayers and for the encouragement from the other side of the Atlantic. It is always such a joy to return to the seminary here in Radosc.
We are nearing the end of a very successful first day of ministry to children and youth. No matter how many times I come to Poland I am still amazed by the strength and determination of the people and their absolute desire to win their country for Christ. Pray for them!
Thank you all for your love and support, but most especially for your prayers!

Update from Deneen
Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you for the outpouring of prayer support that many of you have given to Andrew and our family during the last week. I wanted to express our deepest appreciation for your thoughtfulness, prayers, cards, and phone calls. I also wanted to update you on Andrew's progress.
Andrew's fall off the monkey bars in the Ukraine, which resulted in a shattered elbow, forced us to return home immediately for surgery. The Ukrainian Orthopedic specialist who x-rayed Andrew and put him in a cast told us that we had five days to have the surgery or Andrew would have permanent damage to his nerves, thus affecting the use of his hand/fingers.
After leaving the hospital, we went to the airport and were able to confirm the last 2 seats on the Luftansa flight home the next day. God was so gracious to answer our prayers of getting home quickly. We flew all day Wednesday. Thursday we had our appt. with at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and Friday, Andrew underwent surgery on his arm and elbow.
The surgery was successful and Andrew is expected to heal normally. He will be in a cast all summer but with some therapy should regain full use of his arm. He is in great spirits! He rarely ever complains, has a very high threshold for pain and through this entire process seemed to be much less stressed than his parents!
Again, we want to thank you for keeping our family in your prayers. God truly answered prayers.
On a personal note, I leave for Ukraine today, Wed. June 22nd, to facilitate our choir tour/orphans missions trip for First Baptist Norfolk, Virginia.
Please pray for me during these next ten days as you can only imagine how difficult it is to leave Andrew during this time. But he is in good hands with all the help that Mark, my husband, has been offered here. My prescious Aunt Elsa came up from Florida to help with Andrew so that my mom could still go on this next mission trip with me as planned. Please pray that the Lord's anointing will be our group as we endeavor to serve Him these next 10 days in Ukraine.
It is in these trying circumstances that one realizes the true blessing that God gives us through the 'family' of Christ. Your prayers and friendship have been a true strength to Andrew, Mark and I . . . and have lifted our spirits beyond what I can express.
Sincerely,
Deneen T.

Andrew Turner Update
Deneen asked us to let everyone know that Andrew's surgery went very well. Doctors had to put several screws in his arm, which was broken in several places. Deneen says that he is doing "remarkably well" and thanks everyone for their prayers. She will be leaving tomorrow to meet with the 90-member choir from Norfolk Baptist Church as they prepare to do a concert and orphanage ministry in Ukraine. Please continue to keep Deneen and Andrew in your prayers.

Special prayer request
Dear Prayer Partners:
You’ve been so faithful to pray for us while on the Ukraine Mission trip and we all appreciate it so much. There is one additional emergency need to pray for at this time. As I stated Monday, Melissa W. and Sarah stayed for a few days extra to do some ministry in Sarah’s former orphanage. Deneen T. and son, Andrew also stayed to work with Hope House and prepare for the group from Norfolk FBC who will be doing ministry there beginning June 22.
Andrew had a bad fall in Kiev while playing on some outdoor playground equipment and, according to his dad, has shattered his elbow. Andrew and Deneen at this moment are in route to Nashville where Andrew is scheduled to have surgery this Thursday morning. Please Pray for Deneen and Andrew right now as they are in the air and will land at 6:00 tonight. Pray for Melissa and Sarah as prepare to leave in the morning for home.
Thanks for your prayers.

We're home!
We made it home safe and sound last evening, Sunday, June 12. Melissa and Sarah W. will be staying until this Thursday. Keep praying for them. They will be visiting friends and ministering in the orphanage that Sarah used to live in. Deneen T. and Andrew will be staying through June to work with Hope House duties for 12 days, then work with the Sanctuary Choir (90 people) of First Baptist Church of Norfolk, VA as they minister in Evangelistic concerts and orphan relief for 8 days. Please pray for them. We look forward to sharing some images on this web site in the next week or two of what happened on the trip. We’ll send you a notice when these are available.
Thanks so much for your prayer support for the Ukraine trip. Sunday night, JULY 24, 6:30 pm, we will present a “Report from Ukraine Mission trip” with testimonies and pictures and video. Please make plans to be here if possible. We will say a special THANK YOU to all our prayer partners that evening.
Thanks to Paul and Amanda for keeping us linked up through this web log (blog)! You were truly blogvangelists!!

Jerry Winfield - Sunday Message to the Team
Dear Friends,
Prayer Partners, and family members,In a few hours the Ukraine Mission Team will be returning home. From my past experience from two previous trips, the team members will be physically exhausted, yet spiritually full. Please cover them in prayer for their return to "normalcy." I can't wait to hear their stories of what God did through them and to them as a result of this mission trip.
Thank you for your daily prayers and comments of encouragement posted on this blog. No task undertaken for the Lord can ever be successful without the undergirding of prayer. Because of your faithful prayer support, you have been an absolutely essential part of this team!
I plan on being at the airport Sunday night to welcome these missionaries home. Please join me if you can.
Joyfully,
Jerry Winfield

Finishing up and packing for home
Friday, June 10, we spent the day sailing and packing, and spent time in worship and in prayer for the children we had met. Today, we are visiting our last orphanage and ministering there before flying out of Kiev at 7:00 a.m. From there, we will spend five hours in flight before landing in Amsterdam and then on to Nashville, where we should be landing at 7:30 p.m.
Everyone is well.

Spending time in orphanages in Kherson
7:00 a.m., June 9
We began the time yesterday with sailing up the Dnipro River and landed in Kherson at 2:00 p.m. Yesterday, we visited an orphanage for newborns to 4 year-olds. Many of these children have diseases and illnesses to their central nervous system. We were greeted by the Chief Pediatrician/Orphanage Director and divided into groups to see the different age groups. Many of the team members were able to feed and change the clothes of the children, assisting workers.David and Linda Y. fell in love with two little girls in the toddler age group. Wesley B. held a blind infant who clung to him and smiled when he spoke. After several hours, we went to a Hope House where we shared a snack of Vareniki and Coca-Cola with the Yadlo family who have adopted four children.
Afterwards, we drove an hour to New Kahovka where we ministered in another orphanage for older children. They met the team’s bus with cheers and clapping – over 120 children who just ate up the love and attention the team gave them. Sherry F. spoke with a 15 year old girl with a heart condition who was placed there by her mother, who couldn’t afford the girl’s medication. Her name was Anya. Anya is a young believer who was sad because she couldn’t go to her church anymore because she had been moved to the orphanage. Sherry and Anya traded addresses so that they can continue to communicate. The pastor of the local church tonight was able to meet the girl. As they do in every town the team visits, the pastor of the local church was there and was able to give presents to the children at all of the orphanages.
Please continue to be praying for the team.

The Hope House - Forest Hills Baptist Church Connection
Flash Viewer 7 Required

There is a passion for the care of orphans from Ukraine that is one of many ministries at Forest Hills Baptist Church. Hope House, has put wings on that passion by making adoption by Ukranian families a reality, "one home at a time".
Members of our church have adopted children, built homes in Ukraine, and are purchasing more homes for Christian families in Ukraine on this year's trip...all related to the ministry of Hope House International.
This video testimony is about Hope House and some of the people from our church who are a part of that effort. Continue to pray for this ministry and the work this year's team will do with Hope House families.

Finally - a message from the team!
4 pm local time, June 8
E-mail is down and the fax machine isn’t working so all of this was communicated via phone at $5.00/minute.
We saw a pet mouse today – a child’s only possession. Abigal P. told a girl “I love You” in Russian. The girl ran to a rose bush, picked a rose, and gave it to Abigail with a hug.Susie S. approached a shy, teenage girl standing alone looking at the Polaroid picture just taken by the team. The girl led her upstairs to her room. Susie sat on the bed and the girl showed her a picture of her family, who she no longer lives with. They sat together just looking at the picture.
The sound man, Bogdan, who has always worked with just sound in the past is now helping the Polaroid team by interpreting and being a part of the group. This is a great step of faith by him. We appreciate his help so much.

Still waiting patiently
We still haven't heard anything from the team as of Friday morning. However, I have been checking Ukrainian news sites on the Internet for the past two days and there hasn't been anything posted that would indicate that we should worry, so I'm sure they're just having problems getting their communications to go out to us. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'll be sure to post something as soon as I get more information.

On his video testimony, Reagan talks about the impact that a team report had on his life and how he felt that this year's Ukraine trip presented an opportunity to serve in a different role. Undoubtedly, the report from Reagan and the other members of this team will have an impact on others...let's include those who need to be involved in future trips in our prayers, God already knows who should be making preparations for a trip in the future.
Reagan's participation in this trip is the result of many answered prayers...ask him about some of the events leading up to this trip and how he depended on God to work things out.

As of right now (Wednesday, June 8 at 12:45 p.m.), I still haven't received an e-mail or fax from the Ukraine team. I'm guessing that the BlackBerry that they have been using so far has gotten out of range and they haven't been able to get access to a fax machine yet. As soon as another update has been sent, I'll be sure to post it and will send out a notification for everyone. Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

From the Black Sea headed for the river
Loosely translated from a cell phone conversation just a few minutes ago:
We just finished our third orphange visit of the day....some had nice facilities and some are just hard to describe. Our schedule changes every day based on the activities that each orphanage plans, it's just part of being flexible that we are adjusting to. We stopped by the Hope House project last night, the one the Forest Hills' group built, and met the family who will be living there, that was pretty neat. I understand that some of the kids from another Hope House will get to spend some time with us on ship...that will be a treat for them and us as well.
We're leaving the Black Sea tonight, headed for the Dnipro river. With tons of stories to tell when we return,
Bob C.

Tuesday's Update from Sevastopol, Ukraine
Received via e-mail on June 7: June 6 2005, 11:30 PM local time in
Sevastopol, Ukraine
Greetings from the Crimea! Today was an intense, action-packed and grueling day of ministry. I think it is safe to say that most of us are in something like a state of shell shock after the experiences had today. We ran the gamut of emotions between the two orphanges we visited. Sarah Wooten, who had been adopted from the Ukraine and serves often as an interpreter, noted that she could tell which kids still hoped they might be adopted and which ones had just given up hope altogether.Karen Boren, a veteran of these trips, helped with face-painting for first time, and was amazed at the chance to work with the children so closely and to look into their eyes.
One of men was helping a disabled teenage boy whose arms and hands were covered in cuts, scratches and scabs from repeated falls due to his trouble walking, and upon recalling the boy, our team member was brought to tears by the thought that there was no one to care for him.
Jami Jones' on her first trip to the Ukraine, told a silent little boy a phrase that she had just learned in Russian- "I Love You." He quickly turned away in embarassment, but returned at least 10 or 12 times to hug her during the course of our final hour there.
Julia Boren, the leader of our "Salvation Bracelets" team recalled a teen-aged boy who said that he would not wear his bracelet, but would instead use it as a collar for his pet rat.
There have been smiles, tears, hugs and laughter, but most of all we have seen the living God at work.
Please continue to pray for the safety and health of our team, the hearts of the children we will see and for new oportunities for the local churches to minister to the kids because of the work God is doing through us.
We will be in several more orphanages in Sevastopol tomorrow before the ship sets sail in the afternoon. Thank you for your prayers.

Hope House - What's that?

If you have been following the team's itinerary, then you have seen Hope House on the schedule..
What is Hope House, you ask?
Hope House is a Nashville based ministry that seeks to locate or build houses in Eastern European countries, and, to place Christian parents along with children from area orphanages into those homes. If you want to know more about how this works start here.
But... Why?
You can read for yourself why Hope House is important to the orphans in Ukraine, but consider this:
- Official statistics show that before orphans
reach the age of 21:
- 70% will be homeless & unemployed
- 20% will have criminal records
- 10% will commit suicide
In the video testimony on this post, Tim explains the impact that Ukrainian orphanages and Hope House have had on him and his family.

Team update from the deck of the Dnieper Princess

Received via e-mail Monday, June 6 (Sunday June 5
10:20 PM Local Time in Ukraine):
Hello from the middle of the Black Sea!! Late last night we safely arrived in Odessa and boarded the "Dnieper Princess," which will be our home base for most of the next week. This morning we were able to do some shopping and sight-seeing here at Odessa. At 1:00, the ship set sail for Sevastopol, a southern port on the Black Sea. Each ministry group was able to meet today to work out final preparations for our first orphanage ministries in Sevastopol. After dinner on the ship, we met as one large group for a time of worship, sharing and prayer as we were reminded that while anyone can sing a song or paint a face, only God can change a heart. We have to be available to be HIS hands and feet.
Please pray that through our service, God would leave an eternal mark on the 260 plus children we will see tomorrow (Monday) at our two visits in Sevastopol. Also, pray that new doors would be opened for the local churches that we work with that will allow them to water the seeds that God plants tomorrow through us.
Please continue to pray for the health and strength of our team members- and praise God that we are all in good health now.
From the deck of the "Dnieper Princess," under a million stars,
Brandon

A love for children - volunteers in ministry
Flash Viewer 7 Required
for player below:
Today's schedule in Ukraine includes two stops at orphanages and late evening visits to Hope House projects...we hope to have an email update from the team a little later today.
Ask just about anyone who has any experience as a missions volunteer, foreign or domestic, and they will tell you of things that they were able to do in ministry that they had never imagined. Have you ever ask yourself if you have skills that are usable on the mission field...but don't quite understand what this is all about? Well, here is a small sample of the activities that volunteers on this trip will lead:
- Face painting - simple designs on a child's cheek that come from a stranger with friendly face
- Insert caring hugs here
- Personal and sibling photos - brothers and sisters in orphanages are not always adopted by the same family, this picture may be the only record they grow up with as evidence of other siblings
- More caring hugs
- Christian drama - usually short acts that help to open conversation about becoming a Christian
- (You guessed it) Even more, caring hugs
- Salvation or testimony bracelets - a craft activity using a colored beads as references to the steps toward understanding and receiving Christ
- Last minute caring hugs before departing with smiles and tears of joy
If you see a pattern here, then you understand that God uses skills and talents in all shapes and sizes. Listen to what Abigail has to say about her hopes and plans for this trip on her video testinmony.

Let us hope that all will be settled into comfortable quarters on their ship very soon and pray for a rejuvenating night's rest.

Mother and daughter calling...and homefront prayers
Flash Viewer 7 Required

Friday at the airport, these two were ear-to-ear smiles...a mother and daughter opportunity to spend several days together doing something very new for both of them. Sharon explains in her video testimony that this trip almost didn't happen for her...it is now happening for mother and daughter and for a prayerful husband and dad back home.
Having my wife and daughter on the mission trip to the Ukraine has make me more conscious of how important prayers are to this Christian endeavor. Sharon and Shellie and all the others are fulfilling the Great Commission, and I feel a part of that calling. I am praying for the children in the orphanages, the work being done, and for safety and wisdom for the workers.James

...from Nashviile International with love...and patience

The waiting is over. The mission team departed Nashville International this afternoon without any problems. The next three hops in their journey will take them from Nashville to Detroit, Detroit to Amsterdam, and finally Amsterdam to Kiev...over 12 hours in flight plus several hours of airport lay-overs. Some will sleep, some will be too excited to close their eyes but all will need our prayers for a restful journey.
Before passing through security, the team gathered for last minute instructions, a check of travel documents, and an extended lesson in waiting in line.
One of the team members wanted to share the following messages with you:
"I am so excited about this mission trip. I just pray that the Lord is going to use each one of us in a mighty way to reach out to the precious little children...God bless you!"
Susie
If you want to follow along with the team's activities over the next several days, a printable itinerary is linked from the menu on the right-hand side of the Missions Journal home page.

Some were left behind
Not to panic...everyone who was ticketed to travel as part of the team made it just fine. There were several of our fellow church members who were at the airport for support, hugs, and farewells. Many of those expressed a wish that they, too were going. One such individual, Hagan Stone (pictured here), checked to make sure there wasn't just enough room in one of those duffles for a stowaway.
Obviously, stowaways are frowned upon...but there are always mission opportunities at FHBC! Find your place in some of these

So many Ziplock bags...so little Thyme
Several sessions of packing are just about over. Each person on the team has a numbered duffle bag assigned to them as part of their allotment of luggage for the 2005 Ukraine mission trip. The team has not set foot in Ukraine, but has already committed many hours of preparation for the journey. What an undertaking!
We are just about ready to go
At this writing, most of the 30 duffle bags are packed, over 300 prayer partners are lifting up the needs of the 2005 Ukraine mission trip and 40 of us are anticipating joining the work of the Holy Spirit in this spiritually fertile country of Ukraine!
- When we land in Ukraine, what will happen over the next 9 days?
- over 2000 beanie babies, Frisbees and matchbox cars will be given to orphaned children
- we will hold over 2000 children in our laps as we paint little designs on their faces
- we will help over 2000 orphans make their own salvation bracelet
- we will take over 2000 Polaroid snapshots given in a frame titled, “Jesus Loves Me”
- we will sing with over 2000 orphaned children and teenagers songs of the faith in their language
- we will share with these children the love a Father who will NEVER forsake them
- in the 30 duffle bags we are taking are loaded with 1000’s of band aids, school supplies, toothbrushes, shoes and boots t-shirts, shoes, soccer balls, jump ropes and other recreation equipment, and hundreds of CD recordings of popular Christian music
- we are purchasing in Ukraine (to give away) over 2000 Ukrainian Bibles, and other supplies easier to buy in Ukraine
Each of the preceding began with WE. The WE is only possible because of HIM who strengthens us and YOU who prays for us.

Think about one child...Pray for many

We perhaps take for granted that the children in our church will be loved when they come through the doors on Sunday or for weekday activities. Sunday school teachers, choir leaders, program directors, and staff prepare themselves for whatever role God has given them...whether it is rocking a crying infant in the nursery or delivering a message from the pulpit. The homeless and orphaned children of Ukraine need God's love just as the children in our church need God's love. God does not make a distinction between His children.
In this brief video, Bob explains the focus of this trip to Ukraine. The message includes a call to action for all of us who will be here, busy with our early summer schedules. Take a moment to hear what Bob has to say and perhaps gain some insight into how important mission activity can be. ..when you have finished watching this clip, stop everything that you are doing...you'll know what to do next.
Linda and I will be back in the nursery in a few weeks, better prepared than ever to minister to our smallest family members. Thank you for supporting us and allowing us to be a part of this trip!Bob & Linda

Encouraging news from Ukraine
Christian Today recently published "Ukraine President Transforming Country into a Nation of God". "Our government has come to the conclusion that Ukraine can never rise on her feet until she bows down her knees before the Almighty God."
In light of recent history in Ukraine, this is encouraging news. As we pray for the leaders of our own country, let's also include the leaders of Ukraine who speak boldly of their faith and the positive directions of their leadership. Although our mission to Ukraine is not about politics, not about making Baptists of those we meet, and certainly not about us...it is about the future of the Ukrainian people. Just as President Yushenko has boldly proclaimed his Christian faith in a country where democracy is still new, let us boldly proclaim our relationship with Jesus Christ, in word and deed, with all who we touch during this journey.
From the Christian Today article, Pastor Sunday Adelaja of Europe’s largest church in Kiev is quoted: "We know that the changes taking place here in Ukraine are born from above, and they are proving to be both encouraging and highly delightful! May you rejoice with us as we keep believing God for total transformation. Nothing is impossible for the Lord!"

Duffle bags, lots of duffle bags!
Packing duffle bags for the team to transport to Ukraine takes time, skill, and organization. Pictured here, stuffing one of 10 duffle bags, (L to R): Sharon Tillman, Bob "Sit On Em" Crawford, Linda Clouse, and Carrie "Check List" Causey
Relief items collected for for orphans over the last several months include beanie babies, band aids, shoes, matchbox cars, socks, school supplies, and sports equipment. The team is also taking supplies to present a festival for the children with activities that include a dramatic presentation of the Gospel with music, face painting, and making salvation bracelets for each child. Each child will have a picture made with a Polaroid camera to be placed in a special presentation frame, labeled, “Jesus Loves Me”.

On the left, Bob Crawford, Reagan Frazier, and Linda Clouse wrestle with stuffed animals and Zip-Lock bags. On the right, Melissa Wooten whistles in Ukrainian, entertaining Heather Hilner.

Prayer Needs
NOTE TO MISSION VOLUNTEERS:
We can not stress enough the importance of PRAYER FOR THIS MISSION TRIP. Prayer is THE fuel that will POWER this trip. It’s not our organization, our skills, our planning, our abilities or knowledge.
It’s the power of GOD through His Holy Spirit that will fuel this trip so I’m telling all our mission trip volunteers it's our responsibility to have praying prayer partners for this trip. Otherwise, we’re borrowing someone else’s angel and there is too much that could go wrong for us to be one angel short!
- Why Pray?
- Travel arrangements are made but there will be glitches that happen. God can handle it.
- There is some illness waiting to hit some of us. God can handle it.
- There are children and young people who will ONLY be touched by the Holy Spirit. We CAN’T do that, only GOD can!
- This trip will be a life changing event for those going ONLY if we are touched by the Holy Spirit!
- God wants to bless us immeasureably. Prayer will Power that Blessing in your life!
NOTE TO PRAYER PARTNERS:
Thank you for agreeing to covenant with us in prayer. As you can read, we are powerless without your prayers. The most important thing to begin praying for now is our safe arrival in Kiev, Ukraine. I'll update you later on other prayer needs. Please feel free to begin posting "prayer emails" to our group via this blog.
In Him,
Wayne Causey

Friday, June 10, we spent the day sailing and packing, and spent time in worship and in prayer for the children we had met. Today, we are visiting our last orphanage and ministering there before flying out of Kiev at 7:00 a.m. From there, we will spend five hours in flight before landing in Amsterdam and then on to Nashville, where we should be landing at 7:30 p.m.
