Join the Belmont University Concert Band

The Belmont University Concert Band provides an opportunity for all brass, woodwind and percussion instrumentalists to perform in a university ensemble. The concert band performs between two and three concerts annually and provides a challenging and enjoyable atmosphere in which members study excellent band literature in a variety of styles.

Participation is open to all Belmont students regardless of major, and no formal audition is required. We are currently seeking instrumentalists who have had high school band experience and play piccolo, flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion. Rehearsals take place in Belmont Heights Baptist Church on Monday and Wednesday from 3-4:20 p.m. The ensemble is available for one hour of credit under the course number MUN 3991-02: SpStuEns-Concert Band and satisfies elective and fine arts requirements for most degrees. University-owned instruments are available for use.

For more information about Concert Band and other performing ensembles, visit the University Bands Web page or contact Dr. Barry Kraus (barry.kraus@belmont.edu). You may register for Concert Band when you visit Towering Traditions.
