April 13, 2009-Metro Police have reported an increase in street robberies in the area around campus. Although no incident has occurred on Belmont property at this time, street robberies have occurred nearby. Most incidents occurred between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. Most occurred in alleyways and parking lots.

Suspect Description(s):
Between 1 and 4 black males wearing dark clothing.
Between: 110 lbs. and 140 lbs.
5’1 and 5’8
14 yrs and 17 yrs old

Please Remember:
• Use the buddy system. Walk in a group instead of alone.
• Call for a security escort, especially at night.
• Always be aware of your surroundings.
• Avoid walking in alleyways.
• Lock your vehicle immediately after entering.
• Do not loiter inside your vehicle.
