Belmont Service Year Applications Now Available

The Belmont Service Year is a program that integrates intentional Christian community living with intense and significant work in the local community. Participants reside in and form the 15th Ave. Community, and commit to embody the shared life of an intentional community—creating a home economy of shared food, shared prayer, shared work, shared resources and shared responsibilities.

Students also commit to doing at least 12 hours per week of work in the local community (usually within the boundaries of the Edgehill neighborhood). In order to make this a viable option for students, Belmont subsidizes the cost of living for students by allowing all participants to live rent free as part of the 15th Ave Community.

Applications for the program are now available in the office of University Ministries. For more information, please call 460.6419.
