ALL CARS MUST BE MOVED FROM BELMONT CAMPUS PRIOR TO FALL BREAK
As part of the security requirements for Debate08, all Belmont students, faculty and staff vehicles must be moved from the interior of campus prior to Sat., Oct. 4. In addition, Metro Police will be restricting street parking on areas of 15th Avenue, Bernard Avenue and Belmont Boulevard in anticipation of the debate so those areas will not be available for parking during portions of Fall Break. Vehicles left in restricted areas are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.

However, Belmont has arranged safe and convenient alternative parking for those individuals leaving vehicles behind for Fall Break as well as for those intending to stay on campus and/or volunteer for the debate. All Belmont parking options from Oct. 4-7 will require SPECIFIC Parking Permits, as outlined below.

FALL BREAK PARKING PERMITS will be issued for vehicles left behind by campus residents leaving campus for the Oct. 4-7 Fall Break period. These permits are dependent on residence hall location. See appropriate link below for details.

DEBATE08 PARKING PERMITS will be issued for vehicles in use by campus residents during the Oct. 4-7 Fall Break period. These permits are dependent on residence hall location. See appropriate link below for details.

BELMONT COMMONS RESIDENTS: The only resident cars on campus not requiring a special parking permit are residents of Belmont Commons, whose cars may remain at their residence without a Fall Break or Debate08 placard.

COMMUTER STUDENTS who are volunteering for the debate will receive parking permits during training sessions next week.
